Hamlin Fire & Rescue is celebrating its 60th year anniversary and will be hosting the NEPA Volunteer Firemen’s Federation 92nd Convention and Parade weekend this year. The Parade will be on Saturday, September, 10th, 2022.
Because it is a Federation Parade, the fire apparatus in the parade will only be running emergency lights and not sirens (also known as a “silent parade.”)
There will also be various other groups marching in the parade as well as riding floats.
On Friday evening, September 9th, 2022, we will be hosting a hospitality night for all members of the Federation, community sponsors, and residents.
We will be selling Hospitality Night Buttons.
The cost for the Hospitality Night buttons is $15.00 ea. Includes a buffet meal, desserts, and beverages for the evening of Friday September 9, 2022, from 7:30 pm to 10:30pm.
Come out and visit, enjoy a wonderful meal, fun, and games for the family, and let the kids check out the trucks. We will have basket raffles, 50/50s, walk-a-round raffles, and more.
Admission will be in the form of a commemorative button. Anyone interested in attending and having a commemorative button may purchase them in advance online at the link below:

On The Day Of The Parade, Route 590, through Hamlin will be CLOSED from approximately 2pm until 4pm — Please watch for detours and plan ahead accordingly.
Please make your employees, customers, delivery drivers and distribution centers aware of the fact that once 2pm arrives, no vehicles will be able to enter or leave businesses along Route 590 from Hamlin corners up to McDonalds until the parade ends.
Once the roads reopens, please be aware that there may still be people walking along the road to go back to their vehicles.
While we understand that this will be an inconvenience to businesses, we ask that you please be patient during this event and by making your customers aware ahead of time, they will be able to plan ahead as well.
Because this event will be bringing out people from the community as well as the families that will be visiting the area for the federation meeting and parade, that are from other fire companies (the Federation consist of about 100 fire companies from 6 counties), it could also be a great opportunity for your business that Friday and Saturday as well.
